The first weeks surrounding the excitement of a new addition to the family are comprised of tender moments that quickly pass in a blur, moments, however, which you will want to revisit for the rest of your life.

A newborn portrait session will give you the ability to revisit and treasure these precious, fleeting moments for the rest of your life. We photograph natural and posed shots amidst the comfort and privacy of your own home, and the session typically lasts 2-4 hours.

Plan to have a few feeding and diaper changes along the way, but eventually we’ll get there. I will provide you access to a variety of props and blankets, but I love to encourage families to think of ways to utilize meaningful gifts and mementos in these images.

Prior to your session, you will receive an informational packet with valuable tips and information to make your session run smoothly and ensure that we capture the finest quality images of your newly expanded family.

It is best to capture newborn images within the first two weeks of life to ensure those wonderful sleepy baby images. However, I have done multiple shoots at 4-8 weeks with beautiful results, so don’t hesitate to contact me at any stage of the game! And keep in mind that I offer milestone sessions at important moments along the way during your baby’s first year.

As a mother and pediatric nurse, I understand that newborns are unpredictable and vulnerable, and I am very comfortable flexibly and safely working with you and your family in order to capture those perfect images. And don’t worry if your post-partum emotions are raging and your post-delivery house is chaos, we will bond, and have fun, and our end product will be gorgeous, frame-worthy photographs!
